THE SACRED CAN BE NOW
I blurted these words out the other day. Their truth struck me.
Why NOT now?
Now is what we actually only ever have.
The sacred is in the ordinary
The great lesson from the true mystics is that the sacred is in the ordinary, that it is found in one's daily life, in one's neighbors, friends, and family.
Abraham Maslow
This very moment
You can dance in the storm. Don't wait for the rain to be over before because it might take too long. You can can do it now. Wherever you are, right now, you can start, right now; this very moment.

The present moment is all you ever have.
There is never a time when your life is not this moment
The Peace of Wild Things
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
